All Riders must be on the start line at 10.15am for a pre-race briefing.
Bike Checks
There will be no compulsory bike check.
You are responsible for ensuring your bike is reliable and well maintained for this event.
It is highly recommended that you visit your local bike shop to ensure your bike is in its best condition possible.
Recommended Gear
* A bike helmet is compulsory for every rider *
The event is completed over exposed terrain and can be subject to adverse weather conditions.
We recommend you carry with you:
Aid Station/Check Point
There will be one aid station/check point on the Classic Ride situated after the half way point.
It will have available:
Cut off Time
The cut off time for riders in the Classic event will be at 2.30pm directly after the river crossing. This enables competitors to complete the ride before the 3.00pm prize giving.
Route Markings/Hazards
There are numerous unmarked hazards on this course, as there should be on a back country adventure of this nature. Potholes, sticks, rocks, stock, rutted tracks, steep descents exposed bluffs and banks are all part of what is required to be negotiated by the competitor.
However we will mark a steep descent with "CAUTION STEEP DESCENT AHEAD" on the 53km MTB event.
The course will be marked with directional arrows or orange danger tape at critical junctions, and flags on the river margin.
We will have marshals at certain points to ensure the correct track is clearly marked.

Finish & Prize Giving
The prize giving will be held at the start/finish site at 3.00pm
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female Placegetters in the following categories: Student/Open/Veteran in the following events:
$6,000 worth of prizes to be won!
SPOT PRIZES: Spot prizes will be open to all competitors. If your name is called you must be present at the prize giving to collect your prize.

- Your race number plate and zip ties to attach your number to your bike. The number must be attached securely to the front of your bike for the entire event. Do not alter your race number in any way.
